Rusty Labrador Retriever Senior Male in Appleton, Wisconsin

My story
So how much do you love chocolate?

I’m Rusty and I’m a gorgeous 12 year old chocolate lab mix, around 70 lbs. My owner is unwell and unable to care for me so he brought me to The Right to Live Rescue so they could find me another family to live out my golden years.

I’m loyal, easy going, crate trained, and love to lounge on my orthopedic mattress (or raised bed) for a little snooze here and there (or for half the day).

I walk well on a leash, am very treat and food oriented (so yummy), potty trained and know how to use a doggie door – let’s face it … I’m pretty amazing. I love spending hours roaming around the yard. I would prefer being a solo dog, as I am pretty set in my ways.

I love riding in the car and hanging in my crate too but need frequent potty breaks. If you are interested in helping an old timer out, please contact the lovely ladies and complete an application. All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kenneled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rusty, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
