Annie Beagle Senior Female in Appleton, Wisconsin

My story
Howdy, I’m Annie ~ also known as Annie “Get Your Bone” Oakley :) My foster mom also likes to call me little orphan Annie, and Annie Bananie. I'm a happy-go-lucky spayed female beagle/basset hound mix, with a little spicy personality thrown in. I think I’m about 11 years old, and weigh about 50 lbs; I was rescued as a stray, but was most likely someone’s dog, yet sadly never claimed at the shelter. Although I have a little salt and pepper grizzle on my muzzle (that's called “character,” by the way), I still have a lot of vim and vigor left in me. I’m a sturdy gal who loves to play, eat, and cuddle. I do love to let you know that I’m excited to eat when it’s dinnertime by talking in my houndy way! I know I am a little bit chunky, but my foster mom has me on a diet, and I am getting some exercise going on walks, which I enjoy. I get along great with male and female dogs, and really like relaxing nearby other doggy buddies or a lovable human, big or small, young or old. I even like kids, and really like to get kisses and rubs as much as possible. Of course I’m housetrained, and can use a doggy door like a seasoned pro. I’d make a solid companion for another dog, or would be just as happy being the only love hog in the house! My foster mom recently awarded me “best couch potato of the month,” so I can adapt to any doggy luxuries you want to shower on me. Lovable, feisty, and irresistable, I may be a bit older, but I promise I have a heart of gold and a spirit to match. Make sure to watch my Youtube video to see me in action and start falling in love! Adopt me and you won’t regret it :)*All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption.

We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation.

Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Annie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
